Welcome to my website!

On walking into a school one day, shortly before leading a music workshop for the youngest students, one little person shouted loudly (silencing the whole hall of children eating lunch) – “Look! It’s Singing Jane!”  That was a few years ago now, and “Singing Jane” has stuck – so much so, that as I walk around my local area, I am greeted by children, their siblings, their friends, their parents, and grandparents – “Hello Singing Jane!”  And I love it.

I love it because it suits the way I work.  I’m friendly and approachable, and I run choirs, singing groups and music sessions for all ages that are fun and informal.  I believe that everyone can sing and make music (regardless of what they may have been told) – and more than that, everyone SHOULD sing and make music. Because it’s brilliant.  It makes you happy, keeps you healthy, and gives you the opportunity to go to all kinds of exciting places and meet really interesting people along the way.
