I run workshops and singing groups for a variety of community groups; including groups for older people, and adults with disabilities and medical conditions. These are informal, fun sessions, with an emphasis on singing as a way to improved health and wellbeing, and a great way to socialise and meet like minded people.
Groups that I am running at the moment include a choir for adults with learning disabilities for Gedling Day Service, and a singing group for residents of Independent Living schemes at Gedling Homes (now called Jigsaw Homes Midlands). I also run regular workshops for Breatheasy, for adults with lung disease. In the recent past, I have run workshops and regular sessions for Age UK, Pulp Friction, Click Nottingham, and Nottingham City Homes.
If you are interested in singing workshops for your community group, do get in touch via the contact page.

“Jane has been an outstanding music tutor at Gedling Homes since 2014. She has run our Gedling Homes Singers group since then which is made up of older tenants, both organising fortnightly rehearsals and performances at a wide range of events in Gedling and beyond. The group have benefited enormously from Jane’s input and for many it is the highlight of their week. In 2015 Jane and a colleague also coordinated the successful Beside the Seaside project for Gedling Homes. I would recommend Jane wholeheartedly not only for her skills as a tutor but for her humanity, humour and patience with our tenants some of whom are in the early stages of dementia.”
