(Gedling Homes is now called Jigsaw Homes Midlands)

We’re a friendly and informal daytime singing group for over 50’s.

We started life in 2014, when a small band of Gedling Homes tenants put together a singing performance for the Gedling ‘Poppy Proms’, an event commemorating the outbreak of the first world war.  The group enjoyed themselves so much, they decided to carry on singing together, and the Gedling Homes Singers was born!  We meet every Wednesday afternoon in either Carlton or Mapperley, and regularly go out into the community to entertain at care homes and community events and fundraisers.  We sing well-known songs, and all are welcome regardless of experience:  some of our members haven’t sung since their schooldays, others have sung all their lives! Our sessions also include a time for drinking tea, eating biscuits and having a good natter!

To join our group you need to be a Jigsaw Homes tenant, and be over 50.  Free transport can be arranged if you need assistance to get to sessions.

When?  Wednesday afternoons 2:00-3:30pm

Where?  Various venues around Gedling Borough

Cost?  Free (including refreshments)
